The Campers are off! If you find yourselves missing your Scout during the week the Troop will be at the Winchester Golden Corral Buffet on Wednesday 06/19 for dinner at 6:15 pm. Camp McKee kitchen staff is off on Wednesday nights and it is a longstanding Troop tradition to go to Winchester for dinner. All family members are welcome to join us for dinner. Please meet at the Scout House on Sunday 06/16/19 at 1:15 pm with all gear ready for inspection for camp. We need to leave no later than 2:00 pm. We will be inspecting each Scout's locker box and other items to make sure they have everything needed for camp. Be sure to pack extra socks, extra shoes/boots, and rain gear. Also, make sure that your Scout brings spending money for the camp store for snacks, etc. Please sure to send them with all one dollar bills. The camp store is known to run out of change quickly. The packing list is attached below. Any questions please contact Todd Willey, David Sanders, or Dave Faulconer.
Attached below is the tentative daily schedule for Camp McKee. Each Scout has already registered for their individual merit badge classes. Also attached is the suggested packing list for camp. It is HIGHLY recommended that each Scout purchase a black plastic foot locker box from WalMart (example attached below). These have wheels and locking latches. They fit perfectly under the tent cots, which is needed as there is very little room in the tents. These boxes have a clasp to be able to use a key or combination lock, which is also recommended. Finally, there is no WiFI for Scouts and very limited cell phone service so Scouts should not bring phones or other electronics. Cameras are fine!
Don't forget that BSA Medical Forms Part A-B-C for all Scouts and Adults going to Camp McKee MUST be turned into to David Sanders by 06/03/2019. Front and rear copies of their insurance cards must all be turned in on 06/03/2019.
Only three weeks are left before the BSA Part A-B-C physicals must be turned in for Camp McKee. Part C must be filled out by your doctor and cover your Scout through the camp week (06/16-06/22). Your Scout will be not be allowed to stay at camp without a physical on file. Don't forget to include a copy of your health insurance card when turning into David Sanders.
